Winter Clothes Drive
In winter 2023, a clothes donation drive was conducted by Concordia Colleges in collaboration with Akhuwat Foundation aligning with Akhuwat’s mission to foster equality and compassion in society. Akhuwat, renowned for its impactful programmes such as the Akhuwat Clothes Bank (ACB), which has positively impacted over 10 million families by distributing over 5 million clothes and other essentials, spearheaded this initiative.
Donations were collected at various schools and organised before being sent to Akhuwat Foundation Collection Centers across Pakistan.
Ramzan Ration Distribution (Annual)
Since 2020, MAK Welfare Trust has been providing essential food support to underserved communities every Ramzan, helping ease financial strain during a time of deep spiritual significance.
As part of the 2024–25 drive, cash assistance equivalent to 285 ration packages was distributed, benefiting approximately 1,710 individuals. Valued at over Rs 5.76 million, this support enabled families to purchase essential staples such as rice, flour, sugar, and cooking oil. In addition, Eid gifts were distributed to 350 recipients.
Since the inception of this initiative, the Trust has contributed a total of Rs 20.3 million.


Prime Minister’s Covid Relief Fund
The Kasuri family and the Mahmud Ali Kasuri (MAK) Welfare Trust pledged a combined Rs 60 million towards the COVID-19 crisis. Of this, the Trust and the Kasuri family contributed Rs 20 million each to alleviate the hardship faced by deserving individuals through a Rs 40 million fund, while a further Rs 20 million was contributed by the Trust to the Prime Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
The Rs 40 million fund was used to procure and distribute essential food items as ration packs to deserving individuals, mainly daily-wage workers. These ration packs included necessary food supplies to help sustain a family of 5 for approximately one month.
President’s Flood Relief Fund
Through the MAK Welfare Trust, Beaconhouse donated Rs 5 million to the President’s Flood Relief Fund in 2007. The donation was made to assist in the rehabilitation and relief efforts for people affected by the 2007 floods in various parts of the country.


Other Donations
MAK Welfare Trust has contributed a total of Rs 607.87 million towards welfare initiatives since the inception of its CSR activities up to June 2025. These contributions span regular programmes, special projects, partnerships with other charitable organisations, and general donations.
An amount of Rs 244 million has been disbursed through charitable organisations, including SWAAT for Pakistan, SOS Schools, Regional Peace Institute for Social Welfare, Fountain House, Akhuwat, Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital, Fatmid Foundation, and the Shahid Afridi Foundation.
In addition, Rs 22.83 million has been allocated as general donations to support individuals in need.
